Daniel Ahmad, a well-known game market analyst and director of research and insight at Niko Partners, brought a set of data about PlayStation today.
In 2024, PlayStation generated $865 million in sales from first-party games and additional content on non-PlayStation platforms, up 71% year-over-year. This is mainly due to Inferno 2 and the ported version released on Steam.
Sony Music also earned $600 million in 2024 from its gaming sub-division. This comes mostly from Aniplex, including games like FGO and Disney Twisted Wonderland. This has nothing to do with PlayStation division/revenue.
